Brown Rice&Peas

We've created a special blend of organic sprouted brown rice and pea isolate (from yellow split peas) to get the most protein per scoop while still trying to keep the taste as neutral as possible so that it can be added to any of the juices. Using sprouted brown rice and peas means easier digestability, 100% hypoallergenic, and no soy, gluten, whey or cholesterol. Each scoop of this protein blend contains 11g of complete protein with all of the essential amino acids your body needs to fuel itself, build and maintain muscle, and stay healthy.

Complete protein

There are certain amino acids your body doesn't naturally produce on its own, which are known as essential amino acids and there are 9 of them (you can see them highlighted in the nutrition facts below). Because your body doesn't produce them on its own, it needs to get them from other sources like your diet. In order for a protein to be complete, it must have an adequate amount of each essential amino acid.

Although plant-based proteins are usually deficient in one essential amino acid or another, this can be fixed by combining different plants. One great way of doing this is combining a grain with a legume, think peanut butter and jelly sandwich (grain in the bread and peanuts your legume), which many times makes for higher amounts of these essential amino acids than even those found in animal protein. And guess what? That's exactly what we've done. By combining sprouted brown rice (your grain) and peas (your legume) you get a heaping dose of these essential amino acids. Not only that, but this combo increases the protein's biological value (proportion of protein absorbed from food by your body) to boot!
